Bad Blogger!

In case you hadn't noticed, the Tipsy Gypsy is terrible about updating the blog site! Talk about too much time in between posts! Even though it's only December 1, we are making it our New Year's resolution to keep the site more up to date. And if we get off track, we hope you'll let us know!

We've had a busy fall season! Our October Howl-o-Ween Bootique was a huge success and we appreciate all of our awesome customers who donated to the Second Chance Pet Society that day. With their help, we raised $135 that day. A huge paws up to everyone for helping out!

November saw holiday open houses in Almena and our main event at Hair Envy in Norton. Homemade ginger snaps, hot apple cider and the cutest fashions around...what more could our shoppers want?!

The December calendar is filling up as well. This weekend, we're traveling to Ellis, Kansas for the Follow the Star craft fair. Also starting next Thursday (12/9), we'll team up with Hair Envy for a little late night shopping on Thursday nights throughout the month of December. On December 11, we're off to Colby for another craft fair. Howl-O-Ween Bootique

In case you didn't know, the Tipsy Gypsy is a dog and cat lover! We're always getting advice on what to order from our chief fashion consultants - Motorhead, Tiger, Tinker and Tipsy. Needless to say, they are excited that we are hosting our first ever Howl-O-Ween Bootique this weekend to benefit the Second Chance Homeless Pet Society in Norton. Here's the scoop:

We'll be set up at Hair Envy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 23. Anyone who makes at least a $5 donation to the SCHPS that day will received 20% off of their purchase. So come shop for a cause with us...and word is, we might have a special visitor that day as well!

New jewelry, purses and other accessories are arriving this week and you'll definitely want to be the first to check them out! Hope you can join is, it's going to be a "paws"itively good time!

Hooray for Fall!

Fall is one of the Tipsy Gypsy's most favorite times of the year. Why? Because football season starts! But more importantly, we finally get the chance to wear cute sweaters like these!

We just finished up the Highway 36 Treasure Hunt in Norton on Sept. 17 and 18, and had so much fun meeting shoppers from New Mexico, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and of course, our native Kansas! It's awesome to know ladies will be rockin' the Tipsy Gypsy style across the Midwest!

Have you missed us lately? We are in the throes of graduation season, so we apologize that our posts have been few and far between. But we have some exciting news! (drumroll, please...)

This Thursday, May 20, we'll be teaming up with our friends from Hair Envy salon in Norton again to bring you our first ever Ladies' Night event! It will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hair Envy salon, which is located at 116 South State in Norton. We've added more new things to our lineup, so be sure to come check out our selection of new summer tanks and tees, as well as Hair Envy's array of purses, scarves, jewelry and other cute accessories!

Oh, and did we mention we'll be offering Wine-a-Ritas (non-alcoholic, of course) for your sampling pleasure?! That's reason enough to come down and join us! Hope we see you on Thursday!

Spring Ladies' Fair

The Tipsy Gypsy will be wandering into Almena this weekend for the community's second annual Spring Ladies' Fair! It is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the NVHS gymnasium. This is a great event and is helping to raise money for the town's new community center, which is slated to break ground this summer - woo hoo!

We are so excited because our Wine-a-Rita mixes have finally arrived, just in time for those mother's day brunches and graduation parties, assuming you're of age, of course! They come in four great flavors, original Wine-a-Rita, CosmoRita, Senorita and Peach Bellini.

We also have in a new shipment of burnout tees, which are sooo cute for this summer! Our stock of handbags and accessories is also growing, so make sure you check out the Facebook page to see pics of all the new goodies. We're still working on getting those pics on the blog!

The salon is located at 116 South State Street -- or right next door to Dollar General in Norton. We have some cute new dresses and tops in, plus Hair Envy carries a ton of cute jewelry and accessories as well. Hope to see you there!

Thank you for checking out the Tipsy Gypsy! Many of you are probably wondering, "What the heck is the Tipsy Gypsy?" so consider this post your official introduction!

The Tipsy Gypsy is a concept borne out of my love of clothing and accessories -- especially purses! We are not a "brick and mortar" storefront, but a traveling boutique, showing at expos, fairs and even hosting an occasional show of our own. Be sure to check this site often for a list of our upcoming events.

We will be making our debut at Phillipsburg's Girls' Night Out on Saturday, March 27 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Our booth will be located in Tri-C Woodworking, located on the corner of State and 4th Streets. Here's a sneak peek of what to expect. Hope to see you there!
